BiG is a post high school program for adults with special needs.  In Texas, there are programs through the school systems through age 21, therefore we will accept applications beginning at age 20 for placement after age 21.

BiG’s vocational program gives Citizens the opportunity to showcase their talent, learn new skills and satisfy a deep-seated need for purpose and fulfillment.

To become a BiG Citizen, applicants must complete the following 5 steps:

INTERVIEW – Take part in an interview with BiG staff.

EVALUATION/VOLUNTEER DAY – Upon completion of the BiG application and initial interview, a committee will evaluate the applicant and come to an enrollment decision following a volunteer day. The volunteer day will be an opportunity for a prospective Citizen to participate for a day in the program.

ENROLLMENT – If our program is a good fit for the applicant, the applicant will be notified of acceptance into our program.
